2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently developing the forthcoming third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Leadership Transition Follows Mixed Feedback
The new appointee takes on the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing early showing last fall.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer updated team members about this organizational change through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had revealed the necessity for a distinct vision.
The president noted that the team is now reimagining the project with a refreshed focus, aiming to address community desires.
Trend of Strategic Recruitment
The news mirrors a comparable action taken by the publisher in August, when they brought on Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to contribute to the BioShock development group.

The gamer responses from last fall’s the game playtest was revealing. It affirmed the potential of a roguelike shooter but indicated we still had work to do. It revealed the requirement for a sharper brand.
It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the criticism to consideration and revamped the title with a refreshed goal - one that’s poised to fulfill its ambition to our fans.

Brinkman currently holds the position of senior developer and head of production at Respawn Entertainment for Apex Legends. He previously was employed at Treyarch and Activision in diverse development positions on the Call of Duty games, and, before that, had stints at 2K and Electronic Arts.
Game Information and Concept
The upcoming game was revealed in last year in conjunction with a public demo. Initially, 31st Union presented the title as a "no-cost, 3rd-person action-packed experience and an innovative evolution on the genre."
